Feb 26 Member of the Month: Conny

This month's member of the month is Conny, and if you've seen her around the gym, you already know why.

We nominated Conny because she doesn't just show up, but ready to work. She’s impressed us with her progress over the past months, not through quick wins, but through dedication and a willingness to tackle anything that comes her way.

Especially when it comes to Olympic Weightlifting, Conny gives it everything. She listens, applies feedback, and you'll find her in open gym putting in extra work outside of class time, actively working to get better.

Here's what she had to say:

  1. What originally brought you to BLN and what motivates you to keep going?

I originally came to BLN because I wanted to build up strength and simply wanted to see how far I can go. I wanted to challenge myself and become stronger – physically and mentally. What motivates me to keep going to this day is above all the community. Here everyone can do their own thing. You feel supported, not judged – and exactly that makes it so special.

  1. Do you have a favorite workout or a favorite class? If yes, why?

I love Olympic Weightlifting. Earlier I would never have thought that this is something for me – but now it gives me really great fun. It's a full-body workout every time and you constantly notice progress. Besides, it simply feels really good to learn something that you yourself earlier didn't trust yourself to do.

  1. Is there a funny fitness fun fact or a funny experience that you've had here in the studio?

My fitness fun fact is: I still can't do a pull-up. 😅 But exactly that I find somehow also motivating – because you notice here that everyone has their own challenges and you still get better step by step.

  1. How do you manage to integrate your training into your everyday life – do you have a special tip there?

My biggest advantage is that my travel distance is less than a minute – mostly I simply only have to put on my sports shoes and go. That makes it much easier to train even when you actually don't feel like it. My tip: Go anyway. It feels afterwards always better than before. Stick to your plan, not to your mood.

  1. If you had to describe yourself in three words as a fitness member, which would they be?

Communicative – open - goal-oriented
